I made these elegant, eye-catching post earrings from Britannia silver (which is 95.8% pure silver, slightly finer than sterling which is 92.5%). I gave them a leaf skeleton design and then used the Korean gilding technique of Keum Boo to decorate the surface. This process involves the fusion of 23.5 carat gold foil on to the surface of the silver. I then oxidised the silver to create a stunning black/gold colour contrast. and
